I just don’t think everything is about price anymore. If we were always looking for things on the cheap we would ruin our domestic industries. Buy as local as you can. Keep unemployment rate under control so our taxes don’t increase.

It’s probably because it’s part of CUSMA. It doesn’t matter if it’s tariffed or not since most Canadians won’t buy it again.

Is it really a concern that if China sold EV cars in Canada that it would make a big impact? Do you know a lot of people who would buy Chinese EV cars in this political environment?

Great idea. And then they will remove the Canola tariffs until they want leverage again and slap them back on. That’s why they said they were for dumping. They saw the dumping language work for lumber tariffs by the US. Now they can play the card over and over.
