DKA was the first set released after I started playing, and I still remember the way I felt when I saw Lingering Souls for the first time. I spent months worth of FNMs completing a Japanese playset that remains one of my favorite parts of my collection. What a card.

They used to put this in precons, but I haven't seen anyone other than me cast one in ages. Even when this isn't 2-or-3-for-1-ing, its getting their hexproof/shroud/indestructible commander.

Hard to pick just 1. I'll go with the art that got me into Magic. My favorite pieces show what the card does, and this one has both the golem she makes and the sharp claws that make it different from others. Her gaze is piercing. Looks like you've just been spotted and are about to get run through.

Oh my god this is my calling. I'm obsessed with bad, mono-colored dogs! Mortis Dogs is my nostalgia puppy; I used to run it in the worst Wolf Run Black standard deck you've never seen. Incredible Chippy art!

Here's hoping they print a mono-B dog commander that isn't themed around assassins lol
