Why are you causing me PTSD flashbacks to Eng Maths classes in 1983/84/85?
😵

Taylor Series huh!, I had to look that up

Shortly after finishing my BEng I had nightmares of going to maths exams & knowing nothing when I got there.😱
Any nightmares tonight are on You!👈

You are obviously a seer, an oracle, a clairvoyant. We bow down before your mystical powers🙇

So, what are next week's lottery numbers please?, or do you only do spaceflight prophecies?🚀

NZ Maori have a saying
"He aha te mea nui o te ao? He tāngata, he tāngata, he tāngata," translated it's "What is the most important thing in the world? It is people, it is people, it is people".
It's the people you worked with that make you sad about going, but when the time is right, it's right💔

Disgusting arseholes, & one a woman too!
It sickens me that this mentality exists in the 21stC.
It belongs in the 19thC or before
People show their true selves in the right political climate.
I (NZer) thought the US was a modern society, the Trump GoP has brought the scum to the surface.🤢

Bugger!
The old trick for water in a petrol tank was to chuck in some meths as the meths mixes with both the water and the petrol and will burn. That was for cars though where the tank's a lot bigger and the water a small proportion of the total volume.

"& here we see the net eng building their nest. At this time they are fiercely territorial & watchful. Any attempt to make off with nesting materials is met with a swift response, snatching back stolen materials amid a torrent of abuse. It is unwise to approach too closely unless offering somthing"

That's bloody well done!
Very famous tree that.

A well deserved holiday I hope!
Depending where in Aussie you're going, it could be kinda cool. SYD & MEL both max 18C
It's spring so weather is highly variable.
In NZ we've had damaging wind & heavy rain this week
Tonight heavy snow warnings down South & thunderstorms up North
☀️ by Wednesday 🤞

I refuse to believe that the fearsome Dr Phibes is dead, undead possibly, but not dead.
October 26, 2025 at 7:59 AM
Yeah it was me!
I did it just to get at you hee hee!😉
Ah well it's the season for spring gales I suppose

Um, That's Wellington actually. It's the corner of Elizabeth St, (yes we have one too), and Kent Terrace in Wellington. It was seriously windy yesterday and will be again tomorrow. I've been asked to work from home due to winds expected to be gusting 140kmph
October 22, 2025 at 6:51 AM
What do you call this then?
has both Innie & Outie
It's an Aussie/NZ mains plug usually called a Tapon, but by the M/F nomenclature should it be called Bi?

It cuts both ways though
People died in the 2011 Chch earthquake when a building designed by an "engineer" collapsed. Guy was experienced but not qualified.
I would not want to be in a building designed by a software engineer (or me, an electrical engineer)
Quals & titles sometimes Matter ☠️

Affordability of EVs is still a big hurdle.
Even in NZ, where we can get Chinese EVs, EVs are still a premium price. The (Chinese) BYD Seal EV SUV is ~$NZ60k, Nissan Xtrail (petrol) is ~$43k, that's a hell of a premium

😂
Time to go electric?
October 3, 2025 at 7:08 AM
Those Ukranian drones have a very long range, must have gone WAY off course 😉

It's close to LAX but CBS says LAX is still open.
But CBS also says the refinery "produces 276,000 barrels of crude oil every day", ah no, not unless its running backwards somehow.
Media reports = 🐂💩

I love the Australian approach to naming things
NZ Maori "Pukeko"
Au "well it's about as big as a chook, & it lives in a swamp, so, Swamp hen"
See also
Brown Snake (it's a snake & it's brown),
Death Adder (It's a snake & it'll kill ya!)
etc
Good on ya mate! 😀
