There is a real demand for more slice-of-life stories in sci-fi/fantasy settings that should be explored more. 😭

Just One of the Guys (1985) was a movie I enjoyed as a kid because it did play around with gender, but I also don't think it technically counts since the character is only doing it for a project. Also, being an 80's comedy with nudity, I'm scared of revisiting it. 😬

I don't think this technically counts for your test, but I've always liked thinking of Faris (Final Fantasy V) as a transmasc character. The game uses she/her pronouns once it's revealed they were a princess long before becoming a pirate captain, but the character prefers to present as masc.
