The only possible thing I can say is that if de minimis drops for everyone then it won’t matter who you buy from, the cost will be there. The US importer/buyer will either get the tariff bill personally, or the shipper will charge more for the product to cover the tariffs ahead of delivery.

Absolutely. It’s also a total disaster for us to implement. The last time he tried to kill de minimus, it went horribly wrong in a matter of days, because we just can’t adjust that quickly. We are drowning NOW, let alone with that thrown in.
