Fans have very mixed options on his profile picture and support voice towards the Russian president. Especially with Ovechkin being captian of the Washington Capitals! The capital of the USA! Do you think sports professionals playing in north america are allowed to have strong overseas views?

Calgary in 2024 started work on its new nhl stadium to open in 2027. The cost of the stadium is 800 million and the total development cost for the area is a 1.2 billion dollar investment. This is a good example to increase the city's concert scene, and community hockey scene, good for revenue!

In 2024, Roger's the NHL media holder in Canada signed a 2 year deal with amazon. This was to make amazon prime the exclusive location of hockey games on monday in canada! Amazon is paying an est 3.5 million dollars per game. They surly wanted a peice of this growing media! Make sure you have Prime!
thanks for the response! I belive the NHL has got far less violent over the last 20 years. There has been rule changes and added safety including concussion protocols. We have also experienced far reduced frequency in fights. Do you think the leauge doing enough to keep its players safe?

In 2004 at an NHL game, violence broke out. Todd Burtuzzi of the Canucks, punched Steve Moore of the Avalanche, as he was skaing away in the back of the head. Moore was not paying attention. Hockey is fairly violent, but this is crossing a line. Moore's career ended. Burtuzzi was Charged.

This is a great example! He's also been seen on intermission eating flaming hot cheetos on multiple occasions. Crazy how he gets deviantized when he still puts up elite point numbers. Just because it's not a normal sports snack doesn't mean it does not work for some people.

Crosby is a great example! He's one of the few players that spend a full season or longer resting to ensure a proper recovery. This is a huge reason in why he came back in the game effectively. Unlike many players who rush in after a couple weeks.
