This brain dump was much needed but posting with just a little more optimism in mind. Onwards to better days~

>I'm finally a permanent employee after working under a temp agency for the past 5 years
>Looks like I don't have to request time off for the major holidays coming up
>Card collection is growing for a big holiday rip with the fam
>Movies to look forward to once a week on my "Friday"

But I'd hate it more to miss out on this major wrestling event my cousins and I are looking forward to around the same time; I can't let them down. It's hard to see a silver lining in all this but it is there as long I'm looking at the bigger picture.

I was so comfortable with the usual Monday through Friday grind. Fridays are the new "Sundays". This is gonna take some time to getting used to...again. Bummed to be missing out on a debut con in November (Originally didn't plan on going and I thought it wouldn't hurt to go until now 🥲)

Life outside collecting has been somewhat exciting. Looking forward to this new position/change of pace next Friday, kept my side gig with the gym after some restructuring, and bought my ticket for another convention this November (when I said I was only going to do 1 con a year) 🥲

The helplessness doesn’t help with the guilt watching from afar, all while you’re doing what you can to help, if it ever does reach them.
We can always work with what we have at home, to keep ourselves a little more grounded~

I feel ya on this. As selfish as it may sound, I decided to start with what I can do here at home/staying local. I’ve been focusing on blood donations, helping out with friends’/families’ baby registries, and (more recently) donating to a friend for their first schoolyear as a teacher~

Can't remember a time where tracking a package gave me this much anxiety 🥲 Otherwise, a somewhat busy weekend to look forward to~ Pacquiao fight possibly with the fam, usual Muay Thai and kickboxing training, and maybe some last-minute prep shopping for the con 😮‍💨
