Ok. Não conheço esse caso específico nem vou defender os privados porquê não lhes devo nada, mas uma razão para tal decisão pode ser simplesmente falta de pessoal para atuar nesse tipo de imprevisto a qualquer momento. Muitos dos especialistas que fazem lá turnos não abdicam do SNS.

"Despachar" mãe e filho para o SNS? Essa decisão é tomada pelo CEO do hospital? Se o protocolo diz que em caso de risco de vida é urgente salvá-los, a decisão é tomada pelos médicos e enfermeiros. Não pensam no lucro, quem lá trabalha também é humano, não faz um parto a pensar no lucro do patrão.

Há casos em que os hospitais privados optam por transferir os pacientes para o público, talvez por não terem recursos humanos especializados ou todos os equipamentos para lidar com determinadas situações mais complicadas. Terá sido este um desses casos?
