Fair enough.

Have a great finish to your weekend.

Do you feel that CardSky focus on the low end / free is a result of concerns on the economy / personal economics? Or simply some other reason.
The jump over to CardSky “call” was obviously driven by politics and other anti X sentiment.

Reach is import for hobby commerce obviously but there are people on X who bought followers so the clout chasing means absolutely nothing to me personally.

Daily active hobby users is more important or if you are engaged in commerce - an active and returning customer base.

Appreciate the input.

True, but if all here are honest collectors having genuine convos, why isn’t hobby commerce better here in your opinion?

And what do you think CardSky is made up of? As a percentage of Old heads, Prospectors, people new to the hobby as an example.

CardSky isn’t a HobbyX killer is all I’m saying.

HobbyX is chugging along…like it or not.

CardSky is Reddit without the moderation.

The people are genuinely friendly here. And convo is less contrived.

Hobby commerce absolutely blows here.

More politics here than on Twitter was the biggest surprise.

Hobby is meant to be an escape, imo.

Just my observation.

I’ll be around 😉

And you are 100% right about that.

I would add that avoiding interacting and following blue check marks on X is an option. In private mode, it’s terrific. Unfortunately, blocks aren’t blocks on X anymore so private mode “is the way” if anyone misses any friends who spend time over there.

And I respect your recommendation.

I’d love for Cardsky to become what it was cheerleaded to be by those writing articles about how it was to surpass HobbyTwitter. The writer was aspirational and the article lacked objective data. Looking back - writer looks absolutely foolish. Just sayin.

Respectfully, CardSky is a fine place for interaction, but it pales in comparison to HobbyTwitter. It’s not even close in scale. If I had to nail it down, HobbyTwitter is 75-100x bigger in hobby daily log ons than CardSky
Despite its shortcomings, HobbyTwitter is still king in social media hobby
