Crate training is for a single dog at a time, not 2 of them at once.
Clearly you googled up that word as a gotcha and didn't think much of it.
This is why animal shelters have 1 animal per cage. There are a few exceptions if the dogs are friendly with each other, but it's clearly not the case here
