Israel was born through UN recognition, yet it dismisses the UN’s ruling that its Gaza blockade is illegal. The UK, for its part, had notice from Isreal but stands by while Israeli forces board a UK-flagged ship in international waters- no crime, no threat. No UK comment.

“Israel says it will screen…” [their cuts of] …”Oct 7th attacks…”.

In 2000, British Gas discovered 1 trillion cubic feet of natural gas, enough to power the Palestinian Territories, 20 miles off Gaza Strip. Yet news of this detail is virtually nonexistent in coverage of the Gaza genocide. Meanwhile, Israel faces an energy crisis.

Israel is pillaging not just Gaza’s cities but also its waters
Foreign companies, including European ones, are helping Israel loot Gaza’s natural gas reserves. They must be stopped.

I came here from Twitter to engage in more informed and less reactionary discourse. I will provide references to source material where possible. This takes time. Please be patient, and forgiving of genuine mistakes which we all make.

Also I’ll refer to the “Mit brennender Sorge” (“With Burning Anxiety”) issued by Pope Pius XI on March 14, 1937 to the German Reich. This is a condemnation of the Reich, its aims, and its total breach of the Reichskonkordat, which was an agreement for the Reich to stop persecuting Christians.

Are you familiar with the content of “Reichskonkordat” signed on July 20, 1933 by Cardinal Eugenio Pacelli on behalf of the Vatican and Franz von Papen, Vice Chancellor of the German Reich? I think this is the “endorsement” you are referring to. If not please correct me before I respond fully.

Steady. It was discouraged… ruthlessly.

Roman, wait until I have replied. I have slow cooked an amazing lamb tagine for my daughter, and washed up. I now need to settle her to sleep. I haven’t said anything about my position on this. All I’ve done is gently addressed the simplistic notion that science and religion are incompatible.

Roman, it seems you have more time to spend here than I do. If you are patient, I’ll reply. I think you’ve misunderstood or are in a different ball park to where I am on this.
Suffice to say for now. Hitler most certainly was not a Christian. Yes, like Putin & Trump, he tried to use religion.

When you say “Religion” do you mean “Abrahamic religion”? Or to you really mean “Religion”?

…and in countries and territories like the Soviet Union, the People’s Republic of China, North Korea, Nazi Germany, some of the most Authoritarian and controlling regimes? Religion was banned or discouraged, atheism was pushed, yet control of the population was/is extreme.
