I came here from Twitter to engage in more informed and less reactionary discourse. I will provide references to source material where possible. This takes time. Please be patient, and forgiving of genuine mistakes which we all make.

Also I’ll refer to the “Mit brennender Sorge” (“With Burning Anxiety”) issued by Pope Pius XI on March 14, 1937 to the German Reich. This is a condemnation of the Reich, its aims, and its total breach of the Reichskonkordat, which was an agreement for the Reich to stop persecuting Christians.

Are you familiar with the content of “Reichskonkordat” signed on July 20, 1933 by Cardinal Eugenio Pacelli on behalf of the Vatican and Franz von Papen, Vice Chancellor of the German Reich? I think this is the “endorsement” you are referring to. If not please correct me before I respond fully.

When you say “Religion” do you mean “Abrahamic religion”? Or to you really mean “Religion”?

…and in countries and territories like the Soviet Union, the People’s Republic of China, North Korea, Nazi Germany, some of the most Authoritarian and controlling regimes? Religion was banned or discouraged, atheism was pushed, yet control of the population was/is extreme.
