No truth to the rumor- That was not an ark floating down 7th Street in Joplin.

Tornado sirens sounded a few minutes ago in Joplin, but we're being told it's for high winds and it's not a tornado warning. Fourteen years may have passed, but I still go into near panic mode when they hear those sirens.

Former congressman Billy Long made it through committee and will be voted on by the Senate. I've seen criticism of Trump's choice of Long as IRS commissioner, but I'm not having any of it. As far as I'm concerned, Billy Long will be just as effective heading the IRS as he was in Congress. #sarcasm

Judging from the News Tribune's article and Jess Piper's bluesky post, Secy. of State Denny Hoskins' idea of giving advance notice to the two dozen State Archives employees who were fired Friday was to tell everyone a couple of months ago there were budget cuts and they might lose their jobs.
