Beware of tests you have never seen fail

Every once in a while I turn off undo, only to turn it back on immediately after sending an unfinished/erroneous email. I don't know how it works, but I can't see mistakes until after I hit send.

I'd say that's true for any new testing strategy or tool you try to introduce. Unless you demonstrate an actual bug, it's very hard to justify.

I'm a savage. I dismantle everything on a plate and eat with a fork and knife.

Structure tells a lot. for x in xs:... tells more than for (i=0; i<len(xs); i++)... Or pattern matching shows the exact cases we're going to handle.
