Whether we’re defeating the HIV/AIDS epidemic or the first to provide humanitarian aid in the wake of a deadly natural disaster, U.S. foreign assistance stabilizes societies, improves trade economies, prevents disease outbreaks, and ultimately makes the U.S. and the world stronger and safer.
Just 1% of the U.S. federal budget goes to foreign aid.

This small investment has helped:
📉 Lower maternal mortality by 34%
🌍 Cut extreme poverty by 27%
💪 Decrease polio cases by 99%
❤️ Save 25M lives through HIV/AIDS programs
🦟 Decrease malaria cases by 50%

Foreign aid funding saves lives.

My heart goes out to the people of Haiti who are continually living through crisis and conflict. No matter what, hospitals are not targets. Everyone everywhere deserves access to health care. www.npr.org/2024/12/25/n...
