And with that, our October Horror Movie Challenge is done for another year. Whew!

Thanks for following along for those who did. And now as a little denouement on the year, we close out with what’s become kind of an end of Halloween tradition to celebrate.

32) Trick ‘r Treat (2007 - HBO Max)
November 1, 2025 at 3:40 AM
Oops! Minor error! Turns out we didn’t watch the one before this which explains why I was a bit confused at the first few minutes. So we’re going to start our ACTUAL number 30 now then and return to the above one next.

30) Hell House LLC Origins: The Carmichael Manor (2023 - Shudder)
October 31, 2025 at 11:56 PM
We’re settled in for the night with our candy and fast food to finish out the month in proper fat kid style.

First up? What is (I believe?) supposed to be the final installment of this franchise we started watching a couple years back.

30) Hell House LLC: Lineage (2025 - Shudder)
October 31, 2025 at 11:31 PM
Getting suuuuper close to being done this year! Only a couple left to go…

Going back to another recent one this time.

29) Heretic (2024 - HBO Max)
October 29, 2025 at 12:18 AM
Man I’ve been so bad at keeping this list up.

We started this one Sunday night and finished it last night. I had seen it before but it had been ages.

28) One Missed Call (2003 - Shudder)
October 29, 2025 at 12:13 AM
Forgot to post this yesterday. The next stop at j-horror station was one I could have sworn I had seen but turns out I hadn’t.

27) Noroi: The Curse (2005 - Shudder)
October 28, 2025 at 12:14 AM
I think we’re gonna keep the J-Horror train going today.

I’ve never actually gotten around to watching this one before or reading the Junji Ito manga it’s based on either. Time to fix that.

This also marks the first time this year we’re getting ahead of the curve!

26) Tomie (1998 - Shudder)
October 25, 2025 at 8:56 PM
First one today is a fairly recent Japanese offering I hadn’t heard of before until I stumbled onto it.

25) Best Wishes to All (2022 - Shudder)
October 25, 2025 at 3:44 PM
Started this one last night and forgot to log it.

24) Until Dawn (2025 - Netflix)
October 25, 2025 at 1:06 PM
Pulling into the final week here… let’s go back to the found footage/documentary well with one I only heard about recently.

23) Butterfly Kisses (2018 - Prime, Tubi)
October 24, 2025 at 1:51 AM
Been meaning to watch this one for a long time now.

22) Pontypool (2008 - Shudder)
October 23, 2025 at 1:58 AM
Forgot to post that we started this one last night.

21) Seed of Chucky (2004 - Peacock)
October 23, 2025 at 12:08 AM
And tonight shifts back to a franchise we did earlier this month.

20) The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (1986 - Tubi)
October 21, 2025 at 2:15 AM
Forgot to post this one last night. We kept this franchise going with the second installment.

19) Poltergeist 2: The Other Side (1986 - Tubi)
October 21, 2025 at 2:13 AM
We watched the 2015 remake of this classic a year or so back and I was already yearning for a rewatch of the original’s sequel. Turns out the original three are on streaming so why not rewatch the first two and finally watch the third, which I hadn’t seen?

18) Poltergeist (1982 - HBO Max)
October 19, 2025 at 2:51 PM
Back to the grindstone again with one I’d never seen before yet.

17) Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984 - Pluto TV)
October 18, 2025 at 10:23 PM
And for the second half…

16) The Conjuring: Last Rites (2025 - Theater)
October 18, 2025 at 2:06 AM
Forgot to post this earlier tonight but I’m at the drive-in for a double feature tonight. We got underway about an hour and a half ago with…

15) The Black Phone 2 (2025 - Theater)
October 18, 2025 at 1:31 AM
We’re behind yet again… ugh. But we have plans for the weekend to get caught up.

For now, it’s a remake that I haven’t seen since it originally came out.

14) The Blob (1988 - Shudder)
October 17, 2025 at 12:10 AM
Getting a late start today with the sequel to one we did last year.

Let’s see what Peach Fuzz has been up to…

13) Creep 2 (2017 - Netflix)
October 14, 2025 at 2:37 AM
Woof… that was kind of a hot mess. Sloppy execution all around with far too few bright spots (both literal and figurative) but they can’t all be winners, right?

Next up… returning to a classic I haven’t seen in forever.

12) The Howling (1981 - Tubi)
October 13, 2025 at 1:04 AM
I think we’re gonna go with a werewolf theme for today after that one.

Next up, one we had in theaters earlier this year. Man, Julia Garner had a busy year between Fantastic Four, Weapons and this one, huh?

11) Wolf Man (2025 - Prime Video)
October 12, 2025 at 10:36 PM
And today we return to a movie I haven’t seen since the late 80s. Oscar and I both read the book it was based on, The Cycle of the Werewolf, at an inappropriately young age…

10) Stephen King’s Silver Bullet (1985 - Pluto TV)
October 12, 2025 at 10:36 PM
Oh man I really messed up. Forgot to log day 9’s pick when we watched it. Oops. And then we lost two days to Oscar being out of town so today is gonna be us playing catch up.

But first, logging my missed entry, which I originally saw in theaters when it came out.

9) The Strangers (2008 - Netflix)
October 12, 2025 at 5:34 PM
Tonight is taking it easy. I’ve seen this one a million times but Oscar hasn’t seen it yet.

We’ve got vampires down in Mexico with…

8) From Dusk Till Dawn (1996 - Tubi, Peacock)
October 9, 2025 at 12:43 AM
