Retired Australian policy wonk, who laments the extent to which evidence and public good now play such a minor role in public policy development.
Ismerica's genocide.

Ismerica's disgrace.

For context, Australia, a country with universal health care, had an infant mortality rate of 3.27/100 in 2024 (ABS, 2025).

Alas, overqualified.

In other words, it's working exactly as planned, then.

I think many Australians are far too critical of the AUKUS programme. While no one seriously believes that the US (assuming it still exists) will deliver any submarines, these critics fail to factor in the prodigious amount of US thoughts and prayers that will accompany the non-delivery.

Love your work mate!

While the US won't disappear, its decline has been massively accelerated in 2025. Since the US is such a warlike country, we can only hope that as the world moves towards a multipolar future, the emerging countries/power blocks, will take a more considered approach to the future of our big rock.

Thanks mate

Oh!! Sorry. I didn't realise that the US and Israel were different countries. In Orstralia we just call them the Ismericans.

Perhaps more accurately the Ismericans.

Get well soon Greg. I recommend Dr Jonathon Walker's Medicinal Scottish Cordial. Best taken orally, rather than applied to the skin.

It's looking very grim Greg. The failures of the media and a dozen supposed checks and balances, the Democrats MIA, the recent group of SCOTUS rulings and then the BBB getting up. I'm not usually a negative Neville, but all I can see is a downward trrajectory from here.
