@theroyalparks.bsky.social may need to control deer numbers but there are more humane ways of doing so (unless it's all about selling venison rather than control of course) www.change.org/p/stop-the-c...

We’re here at the #GlobalDayofAction rally in London, mobilising with allies across the country to stand up for a brighter future. We’re in the decisive decade for #climate and #nature, so choices governments make now will shape our collective future.

Targeting #EconomicGrowth is harmful because #GDP doesn't measure the right things. If I drive 5 miles in a gas guzzling 4x4 (not that I would) it counts towards GDP because I buy fuel. If I cycle instead it doesn't count. And yet driving causes pollution, congestion and higher accident risk.

It's shocking to read that 78% of what ends up in Richmond’s rubbish bins could have been recycled. Time for change: richmond.gov.uk/news/news_no...

We don't want to be bah humbuggy about this but do we really need weeks of #fireworks every night? Perhaps OK for New Year, 5th November or Diwali but why every day? They are bad news for both air quality, pets and the environment. www.sciencefocus.com/planet-earth...

We find this type of #Halloween decoration pretty scary - not because it looks like a giant spider's web but because of all that #MicroPlastic it contains that will escape into the local environment. What's wrong with a nice pumpkin? They look festive and you can make a nice soup with the insides.

It seems grossly unfair that many #charities will have to pay a ' #nuclear infrastructure levy' to fund the Sizewell C white elephant whilst the power guzzling 'energy intensive industries' won't.

Stunning view!! No, we don't mean the long sandy beach nor the sand dunes and rolling hills beyond. It's those lovely turbines generating lots of nice clean energy that caught our eye! Tough luck #Trump we love our #WindFarms over here.

Richmond Park had a narrow escape with this fire recently. The #FireBrigade are asking people to provide What3Words locations (what3words.com) if they are reporting anything similar as the Park is a big place.
