Decathlon Daily: Yousouff Koné has penned a new deal with Lille to take him through to the summer of 2028 as a reward for his fine recent performances worth £1m a year. An optional one-year extension features among the clauses which also include a substantial clean sheet bonus. The 30-year old full-back has been at the Decathlon Arena for his entire career having signed his first professional contract in 2013 and has made over 210 Ligue 1 appearances for Les Dogues.

Labinot Bytyqi (Rapid Vienna) opened the scoring midway through the first-half, with Simon Goode (Portsmouth) levelling in the 58th minute. With time running out, Kane took advantage of a missed interception on the edge of the box, took a touch to steady himself and then drilled home the winner which skipped-off the wet turf past a full-stretch Dardan Ymeri (Union Berlin).

LOSC manager GS introduced his three new signings to the media this morning after yesterday's transfer deadline day action. Soualiho Meité (#28) returns to the club from Strasbourg for £4.8m after ten full years away following a £7m move to Zulte Waregem in 2015 before heading back to France in 2023. Meité made 36 appearances in Ligue 1 for Strasbourg last season, scoring six, but couldn't prevent the club's relegation to Ligue 2.

OGC Nice made a combined offer of £20m for centre-back Oumar Solet and striker Exuacé Mpembele Boula which was accepted by the LOSC management and the move was completed early in the day.

He began his career at Brest, moving to Lyon in 2019 - winning Coupe de la Ligue - joining Nice two years later and then on to Metz in 2023.
