Of you are using a flash you will be over the sync speed of the camera. If you not using flash it could be the artificial lighting in the office. Many LED they flicker very fast and that shows on higher shutter speed. But why do you go above 250? That is definitely fast enough for sharp photos.

I also like the colour one better. The black and white ones are stunning, but I still prefer the coloured ones.
