The Tigers have no interest in Spencer Jones.

That would get you....🤔not much.
November 21, 2025 at 6:02 PM
No, you can't judge a player based on a year where he struggled with injury.
November 21, 2025 at 6:01 PM
They don't want Mauricio.
November 20, 2025 at 3:22 PM
People on here are way too block happy, sometimes people are going to have a different opinion, that okay.
November 18, 2025 at 1:58 PM
No, buying out arb years at a premium gets you big, guaranteed money well in advance of free agency and protects the player against injury. It's a very reasonable option and in no way compares to a free agency offer. It's different and an option and perfectly fair to offer at the time.
November 18, 2025 at 1:26 PM
Don't listen to the "pundits", the Tigers probably did offer to buy out a couple of arb years at a premium in exchange for a free agency year or two, but that has nothing to do with, and can't be compared to a free agency offer or full blown extension.

Smaller than many revenue wise.
November 18, 2025 at 12:10 AM
It's not that, paying any 30 yo pitcher 400m over 10 years is a huge risk, especially for a smaller market team.
November 17, 2025 at 11:33 PM
Why would they have traded him, they were trying to win. Look at it this way, if they could have traded FOR him for only a year or two, the would have, gladly.
November 17, 2025 at 11:30 PM
Gotta give to get, Tigers want to compete in 26
November 14, 2025 at 11:26 PM
That won’t get you Skubal
November 14, 2025 at 11:20 PM
Human?
November 14, 2025 at 12:10 AM
Hopefully he was mocking him.

I don’t give a crap about European soccer. Share broadcast revenue like all other US leagues and you eliminate the huge disparity that exists today, then your complaints about individual teams spending might have some validity.
November 8, 2025 at 10:48 PM
TLDR; No league should have inherent competitive advantages among its teams. MLB is the only US pro league to operate this way. The solution is obvious and doesn’t require player approval; equally share all broadcast revenue.
November 8, 2025 at 10:33 PM
It would have to be an offer that improves them more in 2026 than Skubal does, which is unlikely.
November 8, 2025 at 12:58 PM
Tigers aren’t trading Skubal. Look at it this way, they would happily trade their own prospects for one year of a Skubal to compete in 2026.
November 8, 2025 at 12:43 PM
You are ignoring the fact that there is a huge disparity in competitive resources in the mlb. Certain teams can simply outbid every other team creating untenable market values.
November 8, 2025 at 12:38 PM
He’s not a viable shortstop.
November 8, 2025 at 12:17 PM
Stop posting bullshit
November 7, 2025 at 8:53 PM
A team is a business. An MLB franchise shouldn't have an immense, inherent competitive advantage over another. You don't have this in any other US pro league.
November 5, 2025 at 8:56 PM
In order to do what Dodgers are doing, you'd have to have similar resources, that's the problem.
November 5, 2025 at 6:41 PM
Idiot
November 4, 2025 at 7:56 PM
Should be an interesting "hot stove" season!
