JCO is funny, but... As someone who has actually lived in more than two countries and is the product of a migrant family even within India - that's such a a weird thing to say.

Humans have always been nomadic. It's staying in place that is unusual, but you do you, I don't judge.

Anyway, good to know that @wired.com remembers I started their subscription process.

It would be nice if the website remembered I also completed said process.

Mint has an explainer on India's official AQI and...makes a mistake in trying to show the system as worse than it actually is.

The 24-h average AQI will be reported as the average of 24 hourly values (PM is usually reported as hourly averages), not as the average of two 12-hour averages. #IndiaAQ

Nice to see birds come to visit the flowers. This may be a purple-rumped sunbird. (The balcony garden was inspired by a @katharinehayhoe.com newsletter.)

One piece of progress is getting the roses budding again, and keeping mealy bugs off the hibiscus plant.

Choose the person icon at the bottom, you should see a Union Jack at the top right. Click that to get to the second screen, where you can choose the country and currency.

After a full day at work (revising a proposal + making a personal website), decided to make the dessert I have been craving.

Mung dal halwa. Not very sweet, probably less ghee than what you normally get. (Brar said he also used only 2/3rd of what people usually put.)
