I don’t pretend to know all details or protocols for clearing in either muni. Salt could well be an issue. But Victoria’s Bobcat with roller brush seems to work well; I don’t believe Saanich has anything similar.

Last night (& maybe sooner) UVIC had done a better job clearing lanes than anything I saw in #Saanich

Hey Victoria area bike riders - any reports, observations on riding conditions, cleared lanes and trails? in Victoria, Saanich, OakBay etc.
From earlier outings, the contrasts on Shelbourne between #Victoria (1st pic) and #Saanich side were stark. Saanich clearly needs a plow or two.

Traffic backed up again? At the same corner? (1st pic, in previous post).
This time it was a car collision - the *other* major cause of traffic congestion - and a daily occurrence, too. #yyj #yyjtraffic

Just a reminder - here in Victoria, and elsewhere - that a major cause of traffic congestion is road & building construction.
(Not bikes or bike lanes).
