I was just thinking two minutes ago that of all the terrible things Israel has done in this war, this is the absolute worst, and it boggles the mind that we are letting it go on
There is no longer any doubt that Israel has set up a fake humanitarian organisation so it can kettle Gazans into a kill box and murder them en masse

It is evil beyond description and in a decent world it would result in immediate, massive, global action to stop them and prosecute those responsible
Dozens of Palestinians killed in latest Israeli attacks near food aid distribution site, medics and witnesses say
Witnesses describe people shot in head and torso near sites run by Israeli-backed US organisation Gaza Humanitarian Foundation

It should be obvious, then, why hallucination was a useful term for the AI establishment: it naturalizes AI’s untruths and by extension humanizes AI. Except AI is neither human nor natural. AI hallucinations exist because people created AI. Then, like Frankenstein’s monster, it escaped their control

I started a substack by writing about Neil Gaiman…and Arthur Munby and Sue Miller, which I means you won’t think you already read this.
Why I’m Starting My Substack with Neil Gaiman I Could Not Tell You
I did not know I would be starting my newsletter by writing about Neil Gaiman on Substack, but somehow that's what happened.

Wouldn’t it be nice if we could not walk down the road Britain walked down before us and thus not end up in the same swamp of deterioration they now have to climb out of?
New: Trump is talking behind closed doors at Mar-a-Lago about privatizing the Postal Service, sources say, citing financial losses

Could remake one of the oldest institutions in all of American government

Trump eyes privatizing U.S. Postal Service, citing financial losses
Trump feuded with the mail agency in his first term. Privatizing it could shake up consumer shipping and business supply chains.

Further evidence for my hypothesis that we don’t really need to worry about AI because everything internet gets worse instead of better. See, for instance, spellcheck, Google search, Twitter algorithm…need I go on? Except Spotify algorithm which is still scary accurate
