The thing about a pardon is that it can't be revoked. While Ghislaine is getting gourmet meals and daily time with a service puppy at Club Fed, Trump can still threaten to take all that away. After a pardon, she's free and clear.

That tape supposedly involved cavorting with grown-up prostitutes. Even if it is real, I'm not sure it rates a whole lot of attention stacked up against what the House Democrats released already...

bsky search has been flaky the last several days. For a while yesterday, I was getting zero results for a search on "Kendzior". But didn't report until I tried searching on other terms, and got nothing for them either. Half an hour later, I got responses for everything.

The Kennedy name and pedigree doesn't have the pull it used to. (Joe Kennedy III's primary challenge to Sen. Edward Markey lost by about 10% of the primary vote.)

Does increase the likelihood I canvas or something for some other candidate, though. (I live in Nadler's district.)

University faculty connections to Epstein don't get a whole lot of press these days, but he was a major donor to several schools, and while a few heads rolled (Joi Ito resigning as head of the MIT Media Lab), many faculty tied to Epstein (e.g. Steven Pinker) retain good standing.

Now, now... Epstein didn't say what Trump spent hours at his house doing with (or to) an underaged victim. They could have been discussing supply chains for construction projects the entire time!

That part's not fiction -- the Chicken Man was Phil Testa, a Philadelphia mob boss who actually was killed when someone bombed his house. (Thus dating the narration in the song to March 16, 1981...)

There certainly were products and product lines that flopped despite heavy promotion -- the Ford Edsel (an attempt at a new Ford model line, not just one model). A whole category from multiple vendors, maybe not.

But then again, the flood of "AI slop" itself demonstrates some people *do* want it.

I'll admit to having not followed the race particularly closely even living in NYC (FWIW, ranked Lander first, Mamdani second in the primary), but my impression is that the status quo media ignored him until his polling numbers got too big for that -- which happened because he adeptly used socials.

Hard to tell, because they refuse to explain it, even to her (and their excuses for that -- that those emails would have to be composed manually due to technical limitations(!) -- really strain credulity).
November 12, 2025 at 11:58 AM
It's... early. January of last year, there was a poll of Democratic primary candidates for mayor which had Mamdani well behind eventual also-rans like Scott Stringer and Zellnor Myrie, tied at 1% with "Somebody Else".

I live on the Yupper Westside, so that part checks. Putting Harlem in the Bronx, and both Bedford-Stuyvesants in Queens... not so much.

They absolutely do not pepper spray children. If some malicious one year old positions the car seat they're firmly strapped into so that it interferes with some ICE agent's pepper spray, it's clearly the child's fault.
From the ICE_Raids community on Reddit: ICE pours a large canister of pepper spray directly into family car, hitting 1-year-old baby. "They were simply shopping at Sam's Club," said Matt, who filmed t...

The script she's referring to (featuring Kirk's typically overwrought reading of the Constitution) is The Omega Glory, written by Gene Roddenberry himself, who whatever his flaws, was not this kind of coward.

Schumer's imaginary friends are on Trump's side. According to Schumer himself, in the last three presidential elections, the two of them cast five of their six imaginary votes for Trump.
