Remembering Srebrenica is the UK charitable initiative that promotes Srebrenica Memorial Day on 11th July & educates about the consequences of hate. Follow the work our Scottish Board is doing to remember the genocide & challenge denial.

Elvira Mujkanovic lived in Trnopolje when the Bosnian Serb Army turned her entire village into an interrogation camp.
Elvira’s story inspired Robert McNeil, our Chair, to paint this picture. Elvira's now-husband was incarcerated in the infamous Omarska camp (shown in the background of the painting).
