Alice in Wonderland! In english, their is a scene where characters sing the merry unbirthday song and when dubbed in Japanese they translated it to "なんでもない日" which is probably what u found online. but broken down なんでもない(nandemonai) = not much/nothing; 日 (hi)= day; おめでとう(omedetou) = congratulations

(Pls anyone fact check!! I studied japanese in college but also not confident on my translation / explanation haha) so I'm pretty sure it translates directly to "Happy Ordinary Day" or something along those lines! But I after a bit of digging it seems that Hobonichi was inspired by (1)
