Trying to follow the north star that the next thing I see, eat, hear, read, might be the best thing. Bylines in Columbus Underground, Pencilstorm, JazzColumbus, Agit Reader.
If listening to "If Loving You Is Wrong" on the dual CD jukebox with @fonzette.bsky.social while ice literally falls off my bottle of beer at Alex's Tavern is wrong... I love you, Memphis.

Someday I will be able to walk into this Cleveland establishment without singing the applicable lines from "Amphetamine" by Rocket From the Tombs, but today is not that day. @fonzette.bsky.social

On the 9th anniversary of dear friend Marie Arsenault's death, toasting her with bands she booked for Twangfest (JC Brooks might have been the offshoot Beat & Soul) on the jukebox.

Saw Giuliana Musso's Dentro with @fonzette.bsky.social at @wexarts.bsky.social tonight. Devastating and vital and surprising. One more performance tomorrow, tickets I think start at $5. Go. Go. Go.

Going to this Fado for over 20 years, my Chase was around the corner, and I sometimes still forget soccer happens on Saturday afternoon. "Fucking hell, I got the last barstool at 1 pm for lunch... Oh, it's Chelsea, versus... AVL, that can't mean Asheville like I think, that that would be stupid..."

RIP to my good friend, Jason Baldwin. Not always easy to love, but always returned it tenfold.

Found the one @jerrydaviddecicca.bsky.social song on Touchtunes (a beautiful Alejandro Escovedo cover) and it casts a gorgeous, nostalgic, wistful light on all these people I love in the afternoon.

As part of this Stube memory-sifting, I've been trying to clean up and tag photos in my Google storage with names and apparently Google Photos thinks local guitar player Jim Weber is Kenny Rogers. Based on one screenshot it tagged as "Same guy."

Impromptu and short NYC trip starting strong with working at a coffee shop. Give Up The Funk - > Rapper's Delight -> For the Love of Money -> Ring My Bell. Is this place crushing it or am I that much of a cliché? Or both?

RIP to my uncle Dennis Levingston. I didn't spend as much time with him as I wish. But I never had less than a great time around him and treasured those moments. You couldn't throw a brick in the West Side, especially in a drinking establishment, without finding someone with a story about Dennis.
