I used to work for the company that supplied the plastic they formed into the car mats. The guy was nuts - more money than sense his people said. He bought a racing series so his son could drive in it. He was rumored to have a huge stereo set up and stripper poles in his office at the plant.

East Saint Louis is at least on the other side of a river and in a different state.

The river separates about half the city. On the south, it's just a line. There's a road on that line called Stateline road that a buddy of mine lived on. Across the road was a different state.

First coach of the expansion Tampa Bay Bucs when asked about his team's execution, "I think it's a good idea". These rosters would feel similar.

Agreed. Concerned about the presence of Jared Leto though.

Not sure what twist you mean. To me, the book's big twist was the guy's personality and how he ended up on the ship. That looks like it's been completely removed from the movie. Rocky... It looks like they spent a ton of money and effort making that ship and wanted to show it off.

They started actually following the rules.

That's what I thought, thanks. Kinda sad the Shatner high G face isn't real.

What I've always wanted to know about this is what it feels like. I can see it like being in orbit, and feel like freefall. But you're also being acted on and accelerated, so maybe you do feel that? But against what?

You are so lucky to be there and not watching this halftime show on TV.

Many voters were likely using AI to put in moves. No human can beat computers at chess anymore. I think he did good to get the draw.

I've run into multiple times where the narrator made it impossible for me to stay and listen to the whole book. And other books where the narrator was so good I really enjoyed the book, but probably wouldn't have read it myself because it wasn't actually that great of writing.

All true, and thank you for being understanding that there are two different Chicago pizza styles.

Is anybody left on the Wolves that were there then? Even the coach and owners have changed. He may go at 80% of the current team with an axe (nobody hates Conley), but for entirely different Jimmy related reasons.

We can all still hear that cackle described at the end there.

Brits, apparently.

@chuckwendig.bsky.social Woof. One of things where you don't know if you "enjoyed" it, but you sure experienced the hell out of it. Thanks.
