I lost a lot of work for being Palestinian so I’m not going anywhere for a while til I get another job lol I am going to Boston in a couple of months. It’s a trip I’m not going to cancel. But ya I have no money now. Whatever income I’m getting still is going towards my bills as a panic

Oh I told him his grandparents would be very disappointed in him. I’ve only been to Italy once (last year) and met the most wonderful and kind people. In Naples human rights seemed to be a theme and everyone I can across was passionate about it.

For sure. Just to clarify I’m not white though lol I’m brown and right now limiting a lot of things so I don’t totally collapse into a depressive state. There are people who depend on me and I need to function.

Italians weren’t even considered white in Canada and the US I think until the 90s. There was a lot of discrimination against them and I’m sure my exes grandparents experienced some. I only date Italians who say they’re brown 😂

I have a VPN. Although I’m incredibly depressed right now so may have to save for when I feel a bit stronger.

He also went on a rant about how black people are criminals and statistics don’t lie. I had to explain systematic racism and that he was part of the problem. It was like I was talking to a stranger who doesn’t even know his own family or people in his lives.

Mine was an idiot 😂 he was against immigrants & refugees (I’m an immigrant,daughter of a refugee) he did a lot of backpedaling, changed it to people who don’t assimilate/speak English. Had to remind him his grandparents spoke no English. But I guess okay for them since they are light skinned italian

In theory all that would be amazing. In theory. My ex wanted to be a cop to protect his community, he wanted to be one of the good ones. Not sure what kind of brainwashing he went through but the things he said were sickening, and I hope my parting words have an impact on him and shame follows him

My first bf was the kindest most empathic person ever. I always wondered if I made a mistake leaving him but we were too young. Stayed in touch and developed a friendship a few years back, he was a cop. And turned into a raging racist. He is now blocked. If they can turn someone like him…😭

Oh Alyxx this sounds similar to the situation I got out of. You are not wrong for voicing your concerns & addressing issues. You don’t love him, you love his potential, you love who you thought he was. You were manipulated into having feelings for someone who doesn’t exist. You deserve better. Hugs!
