I agree with what you say, but at the same time, it’s important to have a candidate who excites people, not someone who just checks all the boxes of theoretical electability. That’s how you get John Kerry.

This is why I never understood why virtue signaling was supported to be a bad thing

Why isn’t it the obvious “Abolish ICE for Good “

I got halfway through that and got excited about a TWOP documentary

This is not a proper response. You haven’t said a thing about his mother.

Is Bluesky exhausting, or is it your apparent inability to hold yourself back from responding to the same issue over and over again?

Loved it. Like many people, I had fantasies about what might’ve happened if Garfield had lived. But I just realized that the Supreme Court would have shut down every good thing that he tried to do.

About the man who appropriated the term RINO to mean we reject anyone who ever disagrees with me

This is the kind of thing I mean. Before it was use as a negative by the right it was being used by the left with a half joking amused tone.

You’re not disagreeing with me. They gave it to Robert Wise because he constituted “safe hands“. He was not a prestige film director. Possibly you could defend the argument that he was a prestige editor.

If you’re going to take the alien and sedition act as your measure, you would conclude that the founders didn’t think that the first amendment applied to Americans.

If you look at his filmography, not much, if anything, in it is really Prestige. I think they hired him because he was a trusted old hand and they figured they could hand this thing they didn’t understand to him and he would come back with a movie.

Putting motivation aside and limiting it to domestic policy, who has accomplished more liberal objectives?

That’s exactly the problem. It will always have happened. If it had been just the beginning one term he might have faded away, but now he will be a huge stain on American history.

Isn’t Bazelon a 22 year-old recent college graduate? Do they have to go that far to find someone who will say these things?
