For the first time in 35 years, I got to play Baritone horn in an alumni band at my step-daughter's high school. I had my doubts, but once I got the mouthpiece to my lips, it all came back to me. In the end, I was exhausted, but I had a great time.

Meet and greet with Sara Groves.

After six years of trying, after leaving home at 3:15 AM, and spending seven hours at airports and on airplanes, I finally got to attend a Sara Groves concert. Even while traveling, I was convinced that I would miss a connection or a flight would be delayed. I made it anyway.

About four hours ago, the project that I have put heart and soul into for the last 2+ years had been cancelled due to budget cuts. 4th time in my 30+ yr career, but this one really hurts. I keep my job, which I am thankful for, but I will be moved to tasking that I really hate. And so it goes.
