as I read it, it would effectively ban Google from showing "sexual material harmful to minors" in search.

Listings for porn sites, OF creators on X, Amazon results for books like Beloved and Fun Home, trans health services, drag clips, Wikipedia pages on BDSM ... all magically disappeared.

Since X has created a machine for removing Glaze and in violation of the Glaze application creating derivative works via AI … I hope this comes up at the Class Action suit against X.
Anyone who chooses to remove Glaze from art in order to feed it to AI is saying …

“I am willfully, knowingly , and malicious subverting the intention of the copyright holder in favor of for my personal interests”
For those who don’t know. Glaze in the context of AI is a technique of making art art confusing to AI while making it virtually unchanged to the human eye.

An Artist using Glaze on their work is effectively saying:

“I in no way consent to my copyrighted works being used by AI in any way”

For further context twitter added a button that allows users to generate ai images using existing art posts from artists. It removes glaze and it basically reskins the artwork by using the existing work as a base. Twitter is no longer a safe space for art

"Do I throw out whole games for being caught & unknowingly praise those that just weren’t?"
Yes. It's the same as with other plagiarism. You won't know it happened until it's made public, and you're not about to reward a plagiarist to any extent.

This would only serve to encourage further heavy-handed, corporate censorship, because it would make them liable for the content on their platforms.

If you want to deal with misinformation, pass laws against content pushing to users by websites, algorithmic and directed, as that is the root of it.
