They benefit from controlling their ecosystem. One could argue that embracing an open protocol will lead to more experimentation and engagement, but it’s early.

That’s an astute point. Perhaps we should prompt people that reviewed a product to revisit and provide additional insight.

Or maybe self-promotion is a net positive. It’s a strong value prop and driver of engagement.
