But then having to commit the rendering feels like a waste.

Do you have an opinion around the GitOps part ?
I feel more and more bothered over time with the tons of yaml in a Git repo, I don’t feel like it is under control unless we start having tools like cdk8s, CUE or whatever that allows reducing things « as code ».
