If the damage exceeds $500 which in this case it would, it could be a Class 3 felony, punishable by 2 to 5 years in prison, and a fine up to $25,000. Higher damage values result in more severe penalties.
However, you could use the insanity defence and possibly avoid a prison term and instead 2/3
