A couple of years later her son, William, displayed it in the dining room of his new marital home at 8 Great Western Terrace Glasgow. Today it is on display at the #BurrellCollection. More information here: collections.glasgowmuseums.com/mwebcgi/mweb...

And you never know how old museum descriptions are. Ours are taken en masse from the original accession registers so vary a lot in terms of terminology and detail. They are being enhanced but it takes time …

It’s part of a wider Glasgow Life Museums’ project. The provenance published for the European textiles in the Burrell Collection is as much as is currently known and is updated whenever new information comes to light.
