I like electronics and tool repair videos for the same reason. It's very satisfying to see something get fixed up and saved from the landfill. Moreso in the rare instances I'm able to do it myself!

I've been thinking about this in relation to our legislatures and the latest round of gerrymandering. There's some point where their composition would get so far out from what the people desire, it would undermine their democratic legitimacy. Maybe they are already past that point.
