We could also look at the % of cells co-expressing these genes with a count value >0. I think that is a bit messy, so would probably need to do some FISH or in situ sequencing to nail this down. Stay tuned.....😎

@schreinerdrew.bsky.social There is some expression of DRD1 in D2-MSNs and vice versa. Seems to be a small proportion if any.

We see cholinergic neurons in NAc and MS. The plots above pick up some cholinergic neurons in MS. As Keri mentioned, capture of these cells varies by platform but we have several different datasets coming that capture these cells at spot/single cell resolution across regions.
