Right now the Engine core is in a state that I can use now, so I'm working on the UI. In fact I'm remaking the UI from scratch, I'm switching from AXAML to pure C#.

It uses RLE compression to save space. For example, the map below takes 72 bytes on disk (see the second image for the content of the map file) :)
