I’ve joined cross-party colleagues in calling on the Prime Minister to scrap the two-child limit in the November Budget. Ending this policy would lift hundreds of thousands of children out of poverty and give every child a fair start in life.

The past fortnight has been full of conversations across the South Cotswolds 💛 I’ve also been helping with casework on pensions, housing, Universal Credit, student support and more. Always a privilege to support where I can.

Yesterday I asked the Justice Secretary what he’s doing to tackle court backlogs. ⚖️

Constituents are right to be worried, victims are being denied justice and delays are growing. I’ll keep pushing the Govt to fix this and ensure our courts deliver for everyone.

51 Bus between Cheltenham and Cirencester: 📢

I’ve written to Stagecoach West alongside Sir Geoffrey Clifton Brown about the recent 51 bus timetable changes. These adjustments are affecting young people, NHS and care staff, and older residents, creating long waits and gaps during peak travel times.

Yesterday I had the privilege of leading a Westminster Hall debate on the petition to retain the legal right to assessment and support in education for children with SEND ✍️

🌿 The Thames Path starts here in South Cotswolds — a beautiful walking route & vital wildlife corridor.

I pressed the Nature Minister on funding for biodiversity 🌱 and resilience against flooding 🌧️. She agreed to take my suggestion back to DEFRA. 💚

🚨Campaign Win🚨 The UK will finally ratify the Global Oceans Treaty! I’ve long pushed for this through the CAN Bill & as an environmental campaigner. It will protect 2/3 of our ocean—vital for nature, food security & our future. 🌊 #GlobalOceanTreaty #OceanProtection #CANBill

Yesterday MPs debated the Bus Services Bill. I tabled an amendment to ensure those with SEND & their reps have a voice in bus franchising. It wasn’t voted on, but I’ll keep campaigning for SEND & rural transport and holding govt to account. #BusServicesBill #SEND #RuralTransport

Today marks 10 years of #BackBritishFarmingDay — celebrating the farmers who feed us & care for our countryside. I’ll keep standing up for South Cotswolds farmers after tax rises & SFI cuts. Please shop local & support our brilliant growers. #Farming #SouthCotswolds

Fighting for community strength in Parliament this week 💪🌱

I sponsored the Museum of Broken Dreams exhibition, highlighting community projects blocked by a broken system. With the English Devolution Bill, we can shift power to people + strengthen protections for our environment. #CommunityPower

☀️ My summer ‘Meet Your MP’ tour ended this week with visits to Sherston & Kington Langley – the last of 18 towns & villages I’ve been to this summer. It’s been a privilege to hear your views, and I’m more determined than ever to stand up for our communities. 💛

Just a handful of things that I've done for constituents this week.

As I learned rowing solo across oceans, survival depends on protecting your vessel & resources. Ukraine is no different. Sovereignty isn’t just borders - it’s fertile soils, minerals, energy. No agreement about Ukraine should be made without Ukraine at the table. 🇺🇦

Another busy week in the South Cotswolds – ‘Meet Your MP’ events in Somerford Keynes, the Ampneys & South Cerney, canvassing across the constituency, volunteering at Lechlade Library, visiting Poulton Post Office & Pantry, South Cerney Cafe Society, and Fairford WI.

🚨 I’ve written to the Policing Minister about the closure of Gloucestershire’s Schoolbeat programme. This is a vital service helping to safeguard young people.

Cutting it risks undoing years of trust, prevention, and early intervention. We need fairer police funding now.

Another busy month in the casework inbox – from housing to SEND support, my team and I are here to help.

It’s a real privilege to support residents through complex systems and get answers.

Need advice or support? Please get in touch. 💛

🚒 Fire services in Wiltshire are under real strain with engines cut and station closures on the table.

I’ve raised this with ministers, but your voice matters too.

The Govt’s funding reform consultation is now open, have your say:

🚨 I’ve tabled an amendment to the Bus Services (No. 2) Bill to ensure local authorities consult bus users with special educational needs before franchising.

I’ve had lots of casework on inaccessible, unreliable services - this must change. 🚌

Ask your MP to sign! #SEND

The Climate & Nature Bill returned to Parliament today, but the Government sadly didn’t allow time to debate it.

Thank you to every campaigner who’s brought it this far.

We’re not giving up. Together we can still deliver real change. 💛 #CANBill

I’ve raised serious concerns with Island Green Power over newly revealed vehicle routes for Lime Down Solar Park, omitted from earlier consultations and disruptive to local villages.

I’ve called for urgent action and will share updates when I hear back.

Fossil fuel ads are greenwashing the truth and the climate crisis won’t wait.

In Parliament, I urged the Govt to ban misleading ads and give the Climate & Nature Bill the time it deserves.
