It’s great that 500,000 doses were purchased, but the provinces will decide when & how they’re distributed. Historically, they’ve been poor at determining which grps to prioritize, overlooking very high-risk populations & favoring certain regions or demographics.🤞they do better this time, if needed.

We used to have our own vaccine laboratory- Connaught Laboratory - which was world class and non commercial. It produced polio, smallpox and flu vaccines from the early 1900 to 1972 when it was privatized and sold. These kinds of compromises to the corporate class have consequences for all.

Oh look - a competent government acting for the welfare of its citizens! Meanwhile, here in the U.S., they "accidentally" fired the folks working on addressing Bird Flu, put an anti-vaxxer in charge of HHS, muzzled the CDC, pulled out of the WHO, and defunded NIH!

I swear I saw something that said there wasn’t a vaccine yet for Bird Flu. They just meant in the US, or they were lying.😒
