The way unreal voxelizes trees at a distance is really cool and seamless. Works well with alpha-masked trees, but no WPO support breaks previous workflows. Moving to bone-based trees is a tough shift for many devs who want to keep using existing libraries. #UnrealEngine #UE5

NaniteFoliage didn’t give a huge perf boost as other optimizations did. Like NanitePixelProgrammable distance which makes the foliage opaque after a distance, made a big difference, It’s now exposed to PCG as well. Voxels doesn’t support WPO tho, So had to turn off Wind. #UETips
