SAXON SHEFFIELD OCTAGON YORKSHIRE, as many know, has over time produced scores of fine bands, with none finer than Barnsley boys Saxon. Formed back in the late seventies, they rightly command respect and always deliver; with over twenty albums released and the next one to hit the shops soon, it’s quite surprising that they’re playing at this small, albeit full venue.

Spare a thought then for Peat & Diesel, who, along with their small crew, have travelled from Stornaway on the Isle of Lewis in the far western part of Scotland to undertake this little British tour. STONEDEAD FESTIVAL 2025 GETTING FESTIVALS FIRMLY established isn’t easy, but the gang behind Stonedead near Newark, can be rightly proud of their achievements as this volunteer run one day one stage gathering, now in its seventh year, edges very slowly towards a tenth anniversary. Openers Welsh wonders King Kracken woke up the masses with strong songs, power and pride and whilst they may be new to some, they did themselves proud.

TERRORVISION HOLMFIRTH PICTURE DOME PREDICTABLY, this lovely Yorkshire venue was packed for Britain’s finest as the lads lapped up the welcoming cheers, letting fly with opener Discotheque Wreck, The Night That Lemmy Died, (one of six new tunes from current album We Are Not Robots), and vintage classic Alice What’s The Matter. Even at this early stage, the paying punters were putty in Terrorvision’s hands, with all on stage looking smart and ready for business.
