⚠️ Should UNIFIL mandate NOT be renewed in August, an interim ‘new’ peacekeeping force, made from existing contributing nations is expected to be requested by 🇱🇧 (WITHOUT 🇺🇳 mandates)

However 🇮🇪 CANNOT transitions to any new proposed peacekeeping force due to the TRIPLE LOCK

🇮🇪 has signed a multi-million euro deal with French company Thales DMS for sonar for the Irish Naval Service which will be able to detect submerged submarines and help to protect subsea cables.
