Is this the place for lonely souls to seek peace? HFG
White Collar (S1-S6)

After a few years, the show finally hooked me and I ended up binge watching this over the last few months. I enjoyed the con man gimmick and loved the resolution and how the story could remain open if we so wanted to keep going. It gets an 8.5/10!

Barbershop 3: The Next Cut

A modern sequel to the older Barbershop movies with a lot of new faces and old faces. Was a decent watch. I liked seeing where we netted out after several years have passed. I still prefer the first 2 over this one, but it gets a 7/10 from me!

Barbershop 2: Back in Business

After watching the first, decided to watch the other 2 Barbershop movies. Once again, funny and charming and very real all around. I enjoyed the first a little more for its ingenuity but I can appreciate the themes like its predecessor. 7.5/10!

Barbershop

Truth be told, this is my first actually sitting down and watching this. It didn't disappoint. It was funny, charming, and brought me back to a time where life and film were simpler and enjoyable as they are. This gets an 8/10 from me. No notes.

Jurassic World Dominion

With Rebirth on the horizon, realized I didn't watch Dominion and pulled up the Extended Version on Peacock. From what I remember, I liked the Jurassic World timeline of the entire franchise and I appreciated what was done here.

Eterno by Prince Royce

First full new album I listened to this year. Prince Royce tapped into the sound that made him explode way back when with Bachata covers of popular music. His sound has also greatly evolved from his Corazon Sin Cara and Stand By Me days.

Suits LA

Now that Suits LA is over (after 1 season), I gotta get it off my chest. It was slow to start and confusing at times. Each character got increasingly more interesting over time but the charm and hook of the original was just lacking.

Another Simple Favor

Having watched the first movie after seeing an ad for this movie, I wanted to watch it and honestly, my time was not wasted. I love the concept of the once ditzy protagonist becoming a prolific detective but manages to get stuck in a precarious situation.

A Simple Favor

Saw an ad for the sequel "Another Simple Favor" so I did the research and enjoyed the premise. Decided to watch the first movie and it was actually enjoyable. I had a lot of fun with it and the characters are genuinely both insufferable and comedic and fun. 7/10!

Clown In A Cornfield

A really cool concept fused with a slasher film. I enjoyed this story and didn't expect to like it as much as I did. If you like horror and are open to interesting horror and slasher concepts, this is definitely a well done film. 7.5/10! Go watch it!

Sinners

Actually a cinematic masterpiece. It's been a long time since I've seen a movie like this but the themes, the cinematography, the journey and adventure of the narrative was peak. Every single character was well-written and I enjoyed every bit of that. Another 10/10!

Final Destination Bloodlines

Honestly one of my favorite Final Destination movies ever. Such an awesome story that connects everything and pays homage to several of its predecessors. The concept is also very refreshing too. 9/10, go watch it if you ever were curious!

Final Destination 1-5

A couple of weeks ago, decided to take a trip down memory lane and do a proper marathon of the Final Destination movies. 3 will always be my favorite because the opening accident is a personal favorite but it goes 3 > 1 > 2 > 5 >>>>>4 for me.

Se7en

An older movie but saw it for free on Tubi and was very curious. Very surprised at how good this movie was. Very well composed, story-wise and cinematography-wise. The twist ending also really made me enjoy this the most. Check it out free on Tubi!! Really good! 8.5/10!

White Lotus S1, S2, S3

Combining all three seasons into one post but White Lotus was incredible. While it has given me some questions, I feel it does a really great job at this idea of exposing and displaying the most insufferable personalities in society.

Severance Season 1 and 2

Gonna combine my entry for this one because I ended up binging this one. Was really pleasantly surprised at just how good this one was. As someone who works in corporate, this was relateable in its symbolism and had me screaming at the screen at points.

Colorful Stage! The Movie: A Miku Who Can't Sing

Honestly, not even ashamed to admit it. I am going to be heavily biased with this one but 10/10. This is my Movie of the Year so far. Just capturing such heavy emotions, good music, and what makes Hatsune Miku so special.

Cobra Kai Season 6

Cobra Kai has always been such an awesome series. Season 6 was no stranger to going places unknown. I was at the edge of my seat more often than I should have and Will Zabka and Ralph Macchio along with the rest of the cast just absolutely smashed it.

Mo (Season 2)

Hot on the heels of my Season 1 watch, I immediately wanted to follow up and see what would become of our brother, Mo. As a series finale, it tied up a lot of loose ends and ends with a super heartwarming and emotionally raw trip to occupied Palestine.

Mo (Season 1)

Watched Jon Stewart's interview with Mo Amer and it was very touching so I decided to check out his Netflix series. As someone of Jordanian descent, getting to experience my Arab culture so closely through the lens of Mo and his family and the Arabic language...

Bel Air Season 3

Ever since the start of this series, while I was skeptical at first, they really have hit this story out of the park. If you take it for what it is and do not treat it as a reboot or successor to the original Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, then you'll enjoy it!

Sonic 3

This was quite a ride. Enjoyed it all the way through. Comical, fun, action-packed and perfect for the entire family. If you're a Sonic fan, you'll enjoy this film and then some. Story is wonderful and characters are equally fun and enjoyable. 8/10 for sure!

XO, Kitty Season 2

That didn't take long. Once again, campy and filled with the right amount of drama, angst, comedy, and who doesn't love a really complicated love polygon. With some special "To All The Boys" surprises, I give this another solid 8/10.

XO, Kitty Season 1

As a fan of the "To All the Boys" movies, I wasn't expecting to enjoy the spin-off nearly as much as I did. It's campy, fun, sweet and combines a teenage romantic drama comedy with aspects of a KDrama. Again, didn't expect to enjoy that combo all that much.

Wicked: Act I (2024)

I was never a Wicked kid growing up as a theatre kid. I was never fortunate enough to see it on Broadway in its prime and so it never really caught on for me. But its reputation precedes it for sure.

My family decided to put it on today.
