Not a bride in love, but sealing a pact. Still, there was steel in your eyes. You weren't there to surrender. You were to stand beside him: equal, or not at all.

Not a word.” His voice carried a sour edge, his displeasure evident. Bulma crawled out from under the bed, cobwebs tangled in her bright hair, face etched with surprise. “They left?” she whispered, disbelief mingling with the sudden, heavy weight of emptiness. Bulma’s hands dropped to her sides, and for a moment, the room seemed impossibly silent, the air thick with absence. Vegeta’s gaze softened just enough to notice the way her shoulders slumped, how her frantic energy faltered.
