It was very sad to hear that we lost our friend Johnny Joss due to bigotry and gun violence. My native state of Texas is devolving into a truly evil place. Johnny was a dynamic a wonderful person.

Last week gas was $2.54. Saturday it was $2.89 and we filled up. Today it's $2.99. Not 1.98 as the 🍊💩 vomited.

I lost my boy Sailor a few days ago. He was my first bottle calf and was a great mentor to the babies. He taught them how to come into the corral for breakfast & how to soak in the stock tanks. He was almost 9. Sadly died from lung damage due to bovine corona virus he contracted in 2020. #ranchlife

My neighbor was kind enough to sell me a few round bales. It will be in the 20's for a few days here in Central Texas. I fed them a bag of cubes this morning, too.

We got a dusting of snow last night. That is rare south of Austin, Tx. The donkeys were actually liking it. After I filled their hay net, they went out to run on their donkey track.

Fixing, aka fixin', fence so I can put cows back in this closed field. The neighbor's cow came through a gap and when she tried to get back, she took out 50 feet of wire. It was way too hot this summer to work on this, but finally days are pleasant and in the 60's.

It is dusty here in drought ridden Texas. Petting my donkey, Bootsy, warrants a dust mask to be sure.

The newest little bull calf showed up again today. It made me happy to see him after a week. That and the fact that one defective, trumpy admin pic bit the dust.
