We need the Democratic party to get out and lead, to make noise, to inspire a movement - before it is too late.

This is not business as usual. Politicians should be there for our country, not just to run for office. I'm tired of getting the same old text messages from the Dems asking for campaign contributions.

I'll donate to support 'Save Our Country' rallies.

At very least, it would put pressure on the Congressional Republicans who DO have power, provide moral support for the judges who must rule against Trump, and help to energize the media, corporations, and public institutions that must stand against him.

Such rallies, I believe, would attract widespread media attention and help to launch a people's campaign against the autocratic takeover of our government now underway.

The very fact that she would NOT be running for office would lend her message credibility. I can imagine her joined by big name Dems - Barack and Michell Obama - along with many of the Republicans who have warned us of Trump - Mark Milley, John Kelly, Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, and others.

pointing out the dangers of Trump's abandonment of Europe and the rule-based international order in his dealings with Ukraine and Russia - and much, much, more.

pointing out the corrupt, oligarchic, destruction of vital government agencies being conducted by Musk and his team of adolescent technocrats,

pointing out the illegality of his actions since taking office,

She could make speeches pointing out the lies Trump told about his ignorance of Project 2025,

I can imagine Harris holding a rally of similar size and energy to the rallies she held while running for President, but not for the sake of seeking office, but for the sake of igniting a popular resistance movement against the Trump-Musk coup now underway.

Here's what they can do:

The big name Democrats - beginning with Kamala Harris - can go back out onto the campaign trail - not to campaign for office - but to launch a campaign to save our country from autocracy and oligarchy.

We need "Save our Country" rallies.

We need the Democrats to do more than shake their heads and tell us how terrible they feel about all of this. We need them to stand up and do something.

But what can they do? They have no power.

Well, Kamala, he's still a fascist. He wasn't only a fascist while you were running for President, he's a fascist now, and with Elon Musk and the support of the Congressional Republicans, he is implementing his fascist agenda at breakneck speed.
