The problem is compounded by the fact that it’s hard to know when your CV will be read by humans or not. ATS-optimized CVs don’t tend to do well with human readers, they justifiably feel like they could be illegitimate.

I love this podcast! I also feel like exploiting feelings of fear and anger especially is a huge ingredient, and that’s why bad actors foster these feelings. I think we need to do a better job overall of addressing these feelings and speaking to them.

Leetcode has virtually no relevance to real world work, especially in web. As long as you understand which techniques or algorithms to use in which scenarios and why, it doesn’t matter whether you can write it yourself from scratch with time pressure. Libraries exist.
