I really hope this series gets the chance to be rebooted as a TV show in the future. It's such a good series that could easily be expanded upon.

Aaron is one of the most unhinged frustrating antagonists I've ever encountered in a book, but his motivations don't come across as clearly in the movie.

We didn't get to see the relationship between Todd and his dog Manchee so the emotional response wasn't as strong. The dog could have been left out all together and the plot wouldn't have changed much.

The themes about hyper masculinity, misogyny, and the relationship between mankind and nature had to be glossed over.

I liked it over all but the concepts from the books are very challenging to adapt to visual media. Many of the details were lost due to the time constraints of trying to fit a trilogy into a single movie.

I think the pandemic did this movie dirty, because it has such talented actors and the special effects were so much better than I expected!
